Leonin
Leonin
The Leonin guard their shining homelands of Nobleon, a golden plain where magic runs wild beneath the ground. Prides of these nomadic, lion-like humanoids rarely interact with other peoples, having all they need in their shimmering homeland and knowing the treachery of strangers. Where the Tabaxi are catfolk, the Leonin are lionfolk with muscular jaws, claws, and resplendent golden manes. Their neverending war against Orchus is what keeps many of them steadfast and prideful, always seeking to recover the lost deital influences of the mountain springs the people of Orchus hoard for themselves.

Leonin are muscular, stand 6 to 7 feet tall, have feline tails, and very closely resemble anthropomorphic lions. Their bodies are covered in short, golden or yellow fur. Leonin of all genders grow manes as they age, leading to the eldest having the most majestic manes. They also have formidable claws and teeth, befitting creatures descended from a lion god of war.
Leonin are a proud and confident but reclusive group of people. Having been betrayed by the very gods they worshipped, the Leonin have adopted an isolationist outlook on the world. Leonin are slow to trust and prefer to stay cooped up in their prides, only ever leaving their homelands of Nobleon to seek what is rightfully theirs, stolen by Orchus. Leonin prides are nomadic groups of Leonin that are led by the female members of the pride, especially the Elders and the Speaker. The pride members self-elect their Speaker to represent them both as individual leaders and representatives among Leonin.
