Facial characteristics

Fendari's ears are often somewhat angular, but not as noticeably pointed as those of elves. They tend to have long, straight noses and angular brows. Their eyes are copper, with narrow vertical pupils.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

While most of their senses are like those of a human, their eyes are designed to see extremely well in the dark. They have reflective copper eyes with narrow vertical pupils, and their vision at night is nearly as good as a human's vision during the day. Fendari are extremely sensitive to sunlight.
Fendari have an innate ability to create a substitution or surrogate for something missing, through magical means. If a Fendari has lost their arm, for instance, they have the ability to replace it with one made of magic. Or if a Fendari loses their sight, they can use magic to see. These substitutions are not perfect, however, often lacking in some major way. A surrogate arm may have minimal feeling, for instance, or magic sight might paint everything in tones of silver.

Average Technological Level

The Fendari are one of the most advanced civilizations when it comes to astronomy, rivaled only by The Naftin. Given their nocturnal habits, they have a deep fascination with and admiration for the stars, and their technology reflects this. Detailed star charts, advanced telescopes, space models, etc. are all common tools in Fendari cities.
They also have more advanced transportation than many of their neighbors, using sleek, crystal-powered trains to travel within and between cities.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

The Fendari new year is an important event that is based on the lunar cycle. They celebrate the joys of a completed year and the fact that the world has continued to exist for another year and spend much of the night admiring the remade sky and observing the stars’ first track of the year across the sky. Every telescope is manned on the new year, and patron stars are observed especially closely.

Common Myths and Legends

The Fendari believe that they were carved from the silver crystals that are found in abundance in their part of the world and given life by a star, who then retreated back to his place in the sky.
They believe that each star is a deity, with larger stars presiding over all of the minor deities, and that the motions of the stars are a repetitious drama played out by the gods. Many Fendari families choose patron stars to follow especially closely.
