Fulgurians

Fulgurians are mortals with a lineage that includes some type of lightning elemental. They are generally not well recieved by other mortals, due to the percieved posed by their inherent power over lightning.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Fulgurians mostly resemble the race of their mortal parents, but they have minor physical characteristics that reveal their unusual elemental heritage. Fulgurians have a variety of skin tones, ranging from copper to gold to emerald. They have straight hair that stands on its own, usually lighter than their skin, and their eyes are always bright yellow to green.

Genetics and Reproduction

Like other immortal-blooded races, a Fulgurian retains the genetic traits of its original race when it reproduces. For example, if a Fulgurian was originally an elf and mates with a human, their offspring will be half-elves. There is no evidence that Fulgurians have a higher chance of producing Fulgurian offspring themselves.

Ecology and Habitats

Unlike other elemental races, Fulgurians do not have a strong attachment to any particular environment due to their elemental nature. What sets them apart, however, is their unique comfort in stormy weather. Unlike many other races, Fulgurians thrive in adverse conditions and find comfort and a sense of belonging in extreme storms, particularly those with thunder and lightning. Such weather resonates with their inherent connection to electricity and fills them with a sense of comfort and kinship. It is during these intense storms that Fulgurians truly feel at home and in their element.

Geographic Origin and Distribution

The bloodline of lightning elementals has spread wide and thin over the entire planet. Fulgurian transformations are rare, but can occur anywhere.
