Rauloekr

More port than city, Rauloekr is the capital of Geirstðr and is a city of large traditional importance.
Located on the northernmost coast of Geirstðr, the city takes in a majority of the nations shipping through sheer tonnage alone. It also serves as a national drydock and naval base.
Tradition states that when the end of the world comes, Värægnoct, the Geirsic will retreat to the city as their last bastion and defend it to their last breath. Of course, the story is generally viewed as a folktale, so ancient defenses put in place for the event are maintained only in a tourism sense.

Defences

While most forts are now built outside of cities, for their size and attempting to keep the enemy from ravaging infrastructure and civilian populations, Rauloekr has many defenses scattered throughout the city.
While they are ill maintained and viewed as obsolete by the military, they are still god-carved stone and could hold up to sizable damage in the even of their use.

Infrastructure

Probably the least modernized city in the known world, it struggles to keep roads paved due to both weather and lack of funding.
