Svogan
A small nation with a devoted populace, Svogan has somehow managed to resists invasion from even their largest neighbors. Some would argue that it's because these foreign powers have not truly attempted to take the country, and should they decide to spend the resources, anyone could take it easily. But who can say what the truth is until proven otherwise?
A real flag-waving people, their gods are symbols of the nation's independent spirit and are held up and praised by the people as such. Essentially seen as agents of the state, regardless of their actual position if any. Their divine authority is further bolstered by their civil authority.
Foreign influence is demonized, with very few foreign offices being able to set up shop. Embassies are small, as are the number of imports and immigrants. Those that do make it in are often pushed back out immediately. Not by government agents, but by civilian mobs and pogroms.
They love their country but hate everyone else.
Their gods tend to be more militaristic in nature, while being in touch with the land.
