Elven War
The Elven War is the biggest conflict in known history, though much knowledge before that time is lost. Even though it united most of Irath against a common enemy, every country seems to have different view of the war. Different heroes, legends and different countries that decided the war. The dwarves speak of an heroic defense, a siege of 14 years where the city of Thardom stood against magic and swords. The humans speak of how their kingdom and noble knights fought heroically, naming legends such as Deion Francke, the paladin of Honour and Salentin Elsner the Phoenix. According to the halflings and gnomes their skirmishers, mercenaries and inventions was turned the tide, and put the elves on the defensive. Finally there is the drakes, who before this war were mere legends and tales but then arrived on the elven island of Seifu-Sha before anyone else, and started the push towards their capital. The Conflict
Prelude
The Elven War began when the elven Holy Jaiderna Empire attacked the dwarves. The Dwarves were currently in an open civil war as the northern part was tired of being put to the side and had itself the independent declared the Republic of Venis. This conflict gave the elves an great opportunity to attack as the dwarves were weakened and split in two.
Deployment
Due to previous conflicts the elves held a small part of Irath, the southern part of what is now the Gedira Empire. This was used as a stepping of point for their what was to be a quick war, and in the beginning it went great, they quickly pushed inwards. This forced the dwarves to put their differences aside, and together they slowed their elves advance.
Aftermath
Holy Jaiderna Empire retreated back to their islands. Gediria Empire began their decline.
