Poplar Grit

The Poplar Pepper is a sppice that grows in Greater Yenarian near the @nos. It is a scrubby bush with quarter inch spines. The spines contian a venom that is sometimes used as a sedative and muscle relaxant. The fruiting plant forms quarter inch pods that explode when touched releasing black sand grain sized seeds that are encased in a flat paper like disc that allow them to float on the wind hundreds of feet. The grit has a sulfurous smoky flavor that also slightly numbs the tongue. It is said that Da harka Darmin was the first person to discover the Grits use as a spice.
