Region history
The Settling of Shadcress
started as a way for mainly delnari and rel settlers to settle new rivers away from the crowded tresbort lakes region
new shipbuilding techniques using the wood of the island

The Refugees of the Bybort wars
When delnari lost the 2nd war many refugees fled to the the island.
they region remianed very independent, with many trade cities
Barsamic control and the intergration into the Yenari empire (2760-2943)
the cites were independent, but the establishment of the yenaria empire caused the barsamic priests to gain more power, and many of the cities joined the empire through a desire to remain in good graces of barsamic priests. some of the more independent cities were also conqured by the empire.
The Establishment of The Sol Jharrete Empire
The 4th empero and the defecting of the yenari fleet leads to the independance of the shadcresse cities. Jhar estblishes is control over the cities in a number of small wars and the religion spreads to the island
The Prism wars and the Council of Ire (3115-3496)
The empire falls apart after the 1st Lith dies in a series of small civil wars What remains are a series of independent cities and villages united in their faith. They create the council of Ire that presides over disputes among the cities. The following time is one of relative stability, however this period was marked by the establishment of holy orders on the islands that were devoted to protecting trade and the barsamic pilgrams. They were fairly autonomous from the yenari empire, at best they were holy orders protecting the pilgrams, at worst they were pirates pilaging any non yenari ships. They all were much more fundementalist than the empire For the most part relations remained good with the Yenari empire
The Pirate Wars (3386-3499)
The holy order become more fundamentalist's and are increasingly seen by both empires as pirates. The United Ire attack many of the islands and evict the holy order. The Remaining orders bessech the yenari empire to invervene. The request falls on deaf ears. However, relations worsen between the empires when a series of attacks on pilgrims is blamed on the Ire and the Ire starts openly supporting the calls for independence from the cradcresse islands.
The empire demands the surrender of one of the older holy order fortresses. While the Ire accepts many within the council are very upset. When the empire demands further concessions of land this triggers a crisis in the council and the council appoints one of their own as an Lith and gives them emergency powers. The Lith refuses to give up more land, and both sides build up forces. When Delnari requests independance, this is the excuse the lith uses to attack the empire and start the 1st navel war. 
The United Ire and the Navel wars (3500-3784)
The navel war feature lots of sea battles and fighting in the vorden mountians as the nations fight for the independance of the region. Eventually, the Yenari empire surrenders and the strepslim accords are signed.
The Lith does not give up power after the 1st navel war. The war sees the united Ire controlling most of shadcress and the southern sea of lok. The rise of the yenishar association from the old holy orders is seen as a large threat and rival to the Ire. A series of small wars are fought over northern Shadcress.
The marble war is fought when the vorden area decleares independance, Vorden joins the Yenari empire newly led by the tern bas. The United Ire are utterly defeated and over several days and smaller wars are occupied by the Yenishar association.
The occupation by the Yenishar association
The Yenishar association occupies many of the major cities on shadcress. This starts 200 hundred day long ocupation. With the Barsamic yenishar elite ruling over the Jharette underclass. It is a very torn and divided socity with Jharette cults assisnations and advocating for independance.
The Shadcress revolts
when the Yenishar association gets drawn into the 2nd nil crusade, Vorden supports the independence of shadcress. The resulting revolt and war tear apart the island and result in a long bloody struggle
The Cradi Overloardship
The rebels ask the Cradi empire to help them in their struggle for freedom. The empire agrees to help in return for self governance the jharette people would gain more independence, but they would become an auxilliary to the empire. The empire woould govern their trade and their right to raise a army.
The help sucessed and they Yenishar are expelled from the island.
While the religious leadership enthusatically backs this idea, a small fraction of the population see the empire as the new oppressors. They found the Shadvruk as a counter to the Lith. What follows are many days of civil war and unrest. The cradi empire demonstrates its comitmitment to the island by providing lots of military support and staying out of religious affairs, even at the show trails and mass murder of Yenishar Elites.
Eventually the shadvruk is beaten back and is only prominate on some of the smaller nations on the backside of the island. For the next few hundred days it is a whispered menace in lands controlled by the Lith and the Empire.
The Time of Prosperity
the islands booms under the protection of the Empire, a thriving smuggler trade crops up to get around empire trading restrictions.
The rise of the Shadvruk and the Second Jharette Empire
With the empire busy subjagating Marrish and fighting the Eral Islanders, Unrest grows on the island, and the Shadvruk takes over the Lithstar and reoragnizes the Jharette Faith. They create a fundementalist empire with little tolarance for heresy.
