History
Vedergrime the Troll King was a Troll with a few followers living in a cave north of Wide Berth. After The Mighty Menagerie defeated him they took the headband. In fact, it was taken off the troll's head early in combat by Barlo and it stopped his ability to cast simple spells.
Later the party was at The Yawning Portal they met Obaya Uday who was a priestess of Waukeen. She was interested in purchasing any magic items or spellbooks.
And then later Barlo decided he would try the headband on for size.
