Outsider Gods
In another "dimension" there was a battle between powerful gods and one very powerful Dragon god, D’erletztesøhn.
They almost killed the Dragon god, but he used the last of his strength to escape. He found the empty Realmspace of Dierde as it was cracking on the edge into the Far Realms with random bits of "flotsam and jetsom" which was remnants of the old gods, materials, and weave that once resided here.
After he went into hibernation there was a point where the gods of his original dimension found a way to bring powerful avatars of themselves here.
These gods are unlike other gods as they can gain power more off their portfolio than their followers believing in them. This power shift does not take anything away from the gods which are actually being praised. Granted, they can become more powerful when their "true" names are the ones being honored.
This they hoped to rebuild here, but the awakening of the Dragon stopped this as they knew destruction would serve no one.
Since then they have sought ways to fully return.
There are still some who celebrate the main avatars of these gods and that is not enough to alert the sleeping dragons, and does offer them some ways to build power.
