Episode Ninety-three - There and Back Again

General Summary

As the party planned their next move, just there at the bottom of the steps down into the ravine that held the Fallen Citadel, a giant spider snuck up from the darkness and named itself Khlilak'thas of the Arcânoids. She claimed to be from the south and she thanked the party for freeing her. She offered them a secret and when Tirith directed the subject, she told them that the dark DeWarfolk were working the forge of Khundrukar.   As she departed, climinbing to the top of the ravine, the party entered the Fallen Citadel for a final time. They spoke with Yusdrayl and recieved a key form her, even though she didn't like that Calcryx was leaving she was pleased that the goblins had been dealt with. The party used the key to open a locked door with a dragon relief upon it, that they'd found in their early exploration and found, after a few rooms, a sarcophagus. Inside, they found a dragonpriest who had been warped into a troll-like creature. They defeated him and gathered the treasures about his burial.   With their goblin-crafted, handcart filled to bursting with treasure; the party left the Fallen Citadel and eventually traveled beyond. In their travels, Tirith and Varian cleared a corrupt sight centered around a deer skull as Thwip and Erky Timbers played marbles with ball bearings.   Eventually, Erky suggested that he wouldn't be the first of his kind to enter a human civilization and decided instead to head up the mountains to the west to his people. Bree gave him two daggers and he told them all that they were welcome among his people any time. Given rations by Tirith and Bree, Bree informed Erky that the party were, as she was joined by Thwip in story, dragon marked and some of their story thus far.   The Erky offered, "may death be illusive and life everlasting."   Thwip then replied, "may gold rain upon you."   Further on, the party sent Calcryx to go and hunt and suggest that he meet them at two o'clock the following day, around a specific tree near crossrods leading to Norden Keep. They then met Elion, Varian's brother, and had a moral debate before he headed north.   In town, the party sold armor to the smithy, their books to Lady Dazran, and their loot to the trader where they learned that an Eilvenkin had purchased their dragon goods. Varian assumed the Eilvenkin to be his brother. Tirith and Varian then dropped Bree and Thwip off at the tavern before heading over to see the guildmaster. Inside, they registered the group as part of the adventureing guild for a rate of 5gp per month under the company name Dragon Marked.   At the Inner Gatehouse, the pair then learned that the keep was suspicious of outsiders and that they would not be allowed to see the Castellian's Advisor before they returned to the tavern and joined Bree and Thwip. Sat at a table in the corner, the group took to reading, Varian read Concerning the Elegy, Tirith read Hoard Magic for Begginers. Bree read How to Train Your Dragon, and Thwip read The Book of Death. The party then put Treasures of the Fire Lords away for later, sold a few more books to Lady Dazran, and then come morning headed off to the Fell Fins.
