Faith Points
Faith Points, or FP, are a measure of how much magical power a spell caster can draw from his divine or eldritch patron, so-called as they are increased based on the user's faith (their faith being rewarded with greater magical power). Typically, clerics, paladins, and augurs, as well as all others who rely on divine magic, idyllic magic, or eldritch magic (with some exceptions) utilize FP for their magic.
Whenever a mage wants to cast a spell of a given level, they must expend a Faith Point of that level (or higher, though they gain nothing for doing so) to make the magic happen. Unlike arcane magic, nature magic, psychic magic, and occult magic, whose users must endure the ravages of magic personally, FP-using mages suffer no ill consequences for rapid use of their spells. While they must still consume the ambient Mana in their vicinity, and convert any if the Mana's color doesn't match the spell's requirements, they do not expend additional FP to do so, instead using their own SL to convert it.
Unlike stress-based mages, though, FP doesn't replenish itself over the course of a day. Whatever number of FP a given mage has is all they get in any 24-hour period; to restore lost FP, a mage must perform a long rest (though some have ways to "buy" more in a pinch). Once their FP runs out, faith-based mages can only cast their cantrips (level 0 spells), or rely on whatever weapons and items they're carrying.
