Mechanics & Inner Workings

The purpose of a Rejuva-Lamp is to accelerate tissue healing and repair while the users are under the light. The light is powered by a power cell that directs its energy through a specially crafted lens and splits it into a particular signature that has healing properties. Lamps come in various shapes for more specific purposes, lower power portable lamps for field injuries and minor problems, and higher power industrial lamps used in hospitals for severe mortal wounds. With the lamps healing properties however comes a tradeoff in the risk of Lamp Sickness, which can itself be deadly to the user. Because of this, only licensed and trained medicos are normally allowed to operate one and they will monitor patients closely to detect signs of Lamp Sickness.
