Geography
Other than the occasional oasis and rocky outcroppings that lead to the Underneath there is not much that the surface of Dolwen can boost in, expect the endless rolling of a planet-wide desert. The few creatures, plants, and people who have chosen this wasteland as their home areas stubborn and tough as the dunes they wander. After a long time wandering it is nice to be greeted by the rare pools the large cave mouths that descended below the surface and other constructed landmarks to help navigate the terrain. Without the bustling city lights of the metropolises below the view of the stars at night is breathtaking.
Fauna & Flora
Not much survive the desert except for the cactuses and other creatures and plants that have learned to ward off heat and hoard water. There are mostly small creatures that can be found scuttling around like lizards, snakes, and insects that survive off of the oasis pools and the cactus that grow around the desert. Most creatures retreat into the cave mouths during the day so that they don't die from the heat and return to the desert at night to hunt for the creatures that buried themselves instead.
Around the oasis pools, some trees grow and the native people have learned how to plant and grow foods from off-world in floating farms on the bigger of the oasis. More creatures are also around these areas because of the water and the people that take care of them.
Natural Resources
Stone, sand, water, are some of the easiest to pick out on the desert if one is patient enough to try and find anything that is not sand. There is also the creatures that offer food, chitin, scales, and venom these resources are vital to surviving in the harsh conditions.
