Beastmen

“Warrior blood runs in their veins, but so too does a cursed legacy.”

Beastmen are tall humanoids that tower over other humanoids, their hands and feet covered in tufts of fur. Beastmen have the visage and maw of a wolf, with a wide range of colored fur, a large set of pointed fangs and a bushy tail to complete the look. If a beastman lives long enough to lose themselves to their madness, they grow more and more beastlike, becoming covered head to toe in fur and growing claws and growing even larger in size.

Mark of the Beast

Beastmen are a warrior class said to be blessed by Fenrir himself. While the exact source of their lineage is unknown, Beastmen have lived amongst Discordia for as long as history has been recorded. Celebrated warriors and priests, the beastmen were once upon a time held as equals to the rest of the inhabitants of Discordia, but either from some transgressions or the spite of an angry god, the Beastmen have fallen from grace and have begun to be cursed to slowly lose themselves to beasthood. Bound to the greater will, the beastmen have no choice but to follow the path set out before them or lose themselves to their animal instincts.

Beastmen Society

While Beastmen often gather together in tribes, they don't last for long. The old go off into seclusion or in search for a cure of their inevitable madness, and the young turn either to adventuring or to mercenary work to make something of themselves before their curse consumes them. While some Beastmen have come to terms with their inevitable doom, most strive forward in desperate search for a way to overcome this curse placed upon their peoples.

Age

Beastmen reach maturity at age 15, afterwards their aging is similar to that of humans, in rare cases beastmen can live beyond an average human lifespan, but at this point they begin to lose their identity and become more beast than man.

Alignment

Beastmen vary wildly in the spectrum of alignment, those who are most connected to their beast side trend towards Chaotic and Evil alignments, while those with attachment to their mortal side trend towards Law and Goodness.
