Mongrel
Mongrels are twisted fusions of flesh. Their bodies scarred and tainted by the blood of enemies to mortalkind, Mongrels will often grow horns, whiskers, ears, tails, scales, and perhaps a foregin beastly appendage. Mongrels are born bearing various different body parts of different animals, marking them as what they are, humanoids warped by outsiders to the mortal plane.
Crusader Blood
Most Mongrels live below the surface of the world in hidden caves far from civilization. These creatures pride themselves on their survival skills and often find themselves shunned by all who fear their twisted appearance. Mongrels are typically docile and hardworking by nature and all take pride in knowing their ancestors willingly sacrificed all they could to defend the world of Discordia alongside their Celestial protectors. Their forefathers bore scars from the Unholy Crusades and the Great Void War that warped their appearance, and their descendants all bear these same malformities. While most see these as curses, the Mongrels take pride in their twisted appearance, a symbol of the bravery and honor that runs through them.Short-Lived Culture
Mongrels are typically cultivators, growing food and raising whatever livestock they can get their hands on, or hunters who seek out food and resources for their communities. Most are content with this simple life underneath the surface for their very short life-span. Few wish for something more. An adventurer's life of glory, for their name and legacy to burn brightly, or to make something of themselves in the short time they have of peak physical condition.Age
