Olabus is a master crafter and a being of eternal wisdom. The flow of life and the purity of soul comes from Olabus' own handiwork as he ushers in new life, and accepts the souls of those who have left to usher it in again, somewhere else. Olabus celebrates life and thus sees the undead and the soulless as personal insults and seeks to destroy them.
