The Undying

The scores of undead are no strangers to the world of Discordia, precious few of the undead are still linked to the stream of consciousness linked in the fabric of the world. These chosen undead regain their sentience and independence and are allowed to walk the lands again. For what purpose and to what ends where the Undying resurrected? No one truly knows, yet another mysterious fold in the fabric of Discordia.

Anchors of the Past

Whether reanimated bones, corpses, or spirits, each Undying is linked in some way to its past life. While its memories of who it was have since vanished they are still marked by their past decisions, physical depictions, personality, and alignment remain the same as their past lives. Each undying is anchored in some way to an object of their past, whether it be with them even now, or lost somewhere on Discordia. The undying are unsure why the anchor is important, but they know it is and are drawn to safeguard it.

Strangers in a Strange Land

No matter your walk of life, the Undying are a strange sight to behold in society and often get weird looks if not inciting outright fear from the commonfolk. As a result most of the Undying choose to try and hide their visages to pass through society unnoticed. Masks, cowls, hoods, or any other way to hide their image they can pass quite easily as their former race as long as their ghastly image isn't perceived. While most are unnerved by the Undying, the larger amount of them that have been appearing have begun to soften the public perception of these undead folks, but they are still met with uncertainty as their appears no direct difference between a regular undead and the Undying.

Age

Due to their unknown resurrection, the Undying are effectively immortal and do not age, their bodies also seem to reject decomposition. Allowing them to remain for as long as they are needed.

Alignment

The Undying share the alignment of their respective counterparts in life, thus their Alignment can span the entire spectrum and can flux in death much as it does in life.

Size

The size of the Undying matches that of their living counterparts.

The Undying Names

The Undying either share the name they had in their past lives or if their name has also been wiped from their memories, The Undying take on monikers of death, virtues, and tools. Male/Female: Thresh, Kalista, Hecarim, Yorick, Ambition, Scythe
