Raven Prison

Four stories tall, Raven prison has a stage at the back of the building with a slopped floor in a semi circle up to the entrance. The front of the building has 5 entrances each leading to aisles between rows of seating that lead down to the stage. around the stage are iron bars up to the ceiling with two locked gates on either side. Bones and corpses of necromancers pile on the stage in a gruesome display. Though they have never moved, the fear that the necromancers will rise up and seek revenge is thought of as inevitable, and guards patrol the theater constantly just in case.

Purpose / Function

Raven Prison is the final resting place for anyone found guilty of necromancy in Fade. Once the theater of execution, it held thousands of people to watch the public execution of the most hated criminals. But so feared is the power of necromancy that no one would move their bodies from the theater. Guards where stationed around the theater turning it into a makeshift prison. No one but the guards will enter the prison now, with corpses littering the inside they fear that any living person could awaken the dead. As the crime of necromancy has become more rare, the building has been used less and less, and with no one willing to maintain the structure, it has started to fall to disrepair. Though still structurally sound it has gained a haunted look, especially with its gruesome imagery and lack of windows or lighting. Entering the prison chills the very soul of the guards that patrol the prison, and they are rotated out of the grim duty after only 6 months for fear that they will be corrupted by its dark nature.

Alterations

Eventually House Corsair installed iron bars around the stage and stationed two guards to watch over the dead. As bodies piled up it was no longer used for public executions. Instead a guillotine was erected on top of the theater with a trap door in the floor to drop the bodies into the prison.

Architecture

The prison is made of stone, in the shape of a rounded triangle with the tip pointing towards to ocean. Entrances are tall carved arches, engraved with ravens picking at the eyes of necromancers.

This is super dark. I really like the concept of how people are too afraid to ever clean up the necromancer corpses. It's quiet ironic in itself as well, this is a really neat idea! :)
