Destruction of the Empire State Building

The Destruction of the Empire State Building, also known as the Millenium Terror Attacks was an attack of superpowered terrorists on the Empire State Building in New York City on the 2nd of November 2000. Originally starting out as a hostage situation, the attackers soon made their intent to destory portions of New York clear. Tasked with stopping the rogues, the New York Paladins enganged them in battle. During the fight, the building recieved excessive amounts of damage and eventually collapsed. Lady Liberty died during the incident, leading directly the eventual dissolvement of the New York Paladins. The city of New York has since erected a memorial site in place of the lost Empire State Building.
