Patchwork

/*Teresa*/

/*Ingersleben*/

Patchwork is a biology-focused Independent Tinker operating in Cape St. Joan.   Known for offering her purely healing-centric services to supers of all types for payment, her presence in the city is tolerated due to the extreme usefulness of having her powers at their disposal. She has gained a reputation of being completely impartial, and is considered the second-most influential Independent super, second only to Parrot.

Physical Description

General Physical Condition

A older lady with very correct greying hair, usually wearing a doctor’s coat and glasses. A bit frog-like face with a large mouth.

Special abilities

Pathwork's powers are only vaguely understood, though they do aid her in various medical procedures. She is in particular noted for her ability to repair otherwise irreperably damaged body parts, though the process is not fully known. According to her own statements, she is unable to manipulate a living organism, but can work with "what's already there", e.g. restoring it to its original state.

Apparel & Accessories

Pathwork is known to not use a costume as she does not operate as a combatant in super conflicts. During work, she is known to wear a normal doctor's coat. Her identity is protected by a medical mask covering mouth and nose, and a face mask made from various patches of blue and green cloth. She sometimes wears glasses, and it is presume that she is using contacts when not doing so.

Mental characteristics

Personal history

Born in Austria, Teresa was amongst the disappearance victims in the early 70s. She manifested powers around the age of 15 and went on to pursue a medical profession as a result. After gaining multiple degrees in various fields of medicine, she eventually was revealed to be a super and barred from practicioning in her home country, though her powers never became public knowledge.   She migrated to the United States in the late 80s, settling in Cape St. Joan. Beginning in the early 90s, she first established the identity of Patchwork and began offering her services, initially only to Sanctioned supers. When pressured to go Sanctioned, she refused, having been made distrustful of super registration by her previous experiences in Austria. Fearing for her independence and security, she began offering her services to Rogues and Independents as well, giving all sides a lasting interest in protecting her.   She is credited with saving the lifes of over thirty victims in the wake of "D-Day", treating many of the wounded that would have been lost with just normal medicine.

Intellectual Characteristics

Very much enjoys her craft and keeps working to keep using it. Somewhat FOR SCIENCE and not very ethical, but still bound by hippocratic oath.
