The Harbour
The Harbour is the name given to the port and surrounding district in Cape St. Joan, Oregon. Originally known as Port Joan, its new name came into use to distinguish it from the city at self, as the latter name became increasingly synonymous with the town.
Built around the natural pay in the south of Cape St. Joan, it served as the city's economic lifeline for decades. As a result, it is the most industrialised part of the entire city. The economic decline caused by the loss of relevance of the port as a trading post has lead to an equally strong decline of employment in this part of town. Today, many buildings of old warehouses and factories stand empty.
As high unemployment has lead to a rise in crime, this district has gained a reputation as somewhat of a problem zone in town, second only to The Gutters.
