Upgrade
/*Becca*/
/*Altman*/
Upgrade is a Rogue Tinker active in Cape St. Joan, Oregon. She is a member of The Nymphs and known black market supplier of illegal tinker tech.
Physical Description
Special abilities
Upgrade's power allows her to make improvements to existing technology, either mundane or tinker-based. The resulting gadgets are often more specialised, but grossly more powerful than their original version. Analysis of retrieved parts suggests that while little of the original remains after her tinkering, she can not build devices from scratch.
Apparel & Accessories
Upgrade is rarely seen in the exact same costume twice, usually wearing some sort of powered armour while committing crimes, swapping out bits and pieces between missions. Perhaps to remedy this effect and clearly mark her outfit as a costume, she usually marks all of her own gear with yellow spraypaint.
Mental characteristics
Personal history
Becca was born into a lower-class family living in Gullford.
/*She was replaced at age 13.*/
Soon, she began making upgrades to objects, turning into a "power-junkie". Eventually getting careless, she accidentially revealed her powers to her family. Pushing her towards becoming a Sanctioned super, she was abhorred by the restrictions sanctioned tinkers are put under and vehemently refused. As her powered constructions grew more and more dangerous, her parents saw her as a growing threat to herself and threatened to force her into a sanctioned program. Before her family could snitch on her to the authorities to ensure her safety, Becca reacted and used tinkered tech to fake her own death before running away from home, eventually arriving in Cape St. Joan. Becoming a local supplier of illegal tinker tech to the underworld, she eventually was contacted by Ishtar to build her armour. When Ishtar formed the Nymphs, she managed to convince Becca to join.Intellectual Characteristics
Becca is obsessed with her own power and constantly half-distracted by whatever current project she's working on. She shows little interest in other activites and occasionally even forgets to eat while working. Her main reason to crime is a sense of freedom from restrictions and the huge financial burden her tinker-activities put on her, but she is neither good nor evil, but a pretty amoral person in general, uncaring to a fault. She has a rather frail ego, will obsess about failures and respond really well to vain praise.
