Biological Traits

The manners of the Anthropophagi are more savage than those of any other race. They neither observe justice, nor are governed, by any laws. They are nomads, and their dress is Scythian; but the language which they speak is peculiar to themselves. Unlike any other nation in these parts, they are cannibals.— trans. An Anthropophagus was a member of a mythical race of cannibals described first by Herodotus in his Histories as androphagi ("man-eaters"), and later by other authors, including the playwright William Shakespeare. The word first appears in English around 1552.

Genetics and Reproduction

Anthropophagus mate seasonally, in the winter, where the male ends up killed and is saved for newborn food. The newborns are born fully able to eat and never go through a stage of milking.

Anthropophagus grow extremely quickly, maturing within a year.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Anthropophagus is a cabalistic species evolved from humans. The species travel alone rather than in packs, due to their cannibalistic tendencies. Though it can eat more than just it's own species and humans, the Anthropophagus is a picky eater. It's favorite meal are human organs. It loves to hunt/play with its food. When it catches human food, the Anthropophagus will flay them, shred through the muscles, and eat only the organs (including skin). When eating one of their own, the Anthropophagus is not so picky and will eat everything (including bone). - Carnivorous; cannibalistic.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The Anthropophagus has excellent hearing and smell. There eyesight is much like a cats, it is lacking during the day but excellent at night.

Conservation Status

The species is low in number, but still thriving in the shadows.
