The Sun Swords

"The Sun Swords"
These swords are made of bright, gleaming, golden metal with red metallic flakes running throughout the blade.
They were originally created for the fight against the Shadowfolk after The Shadow Rift formed during The Sundering and The Binding.
When in the presence of a shadow creature, the blades begin to vibrate with a soft hum. These blades do double damage to the usually untouchable shadow beings. When fighting a creature that is fused with a shadow being, the blade will harmlessly pass through the host creature and only affect and damage the shadow being. It is believed that when the blade vibrates and hums, it is out of phase with the host, but is in tune with the shadow being, causing damage to the shadow being only. This is one of the few ways to successfully separate the host and the shadow being. Those that are successfully separated pay a steep price of having altered genetics and quite often a shattered mind. As far as is known these effects are irreversible.
The creation of these blades marked the turn in the battle for the city of Morkrets and the sealing of The Shadow Rift in the nearby Meza Enu Forest.
