Lugo

Lugo is the biggest city on Central Island. It is also the home of the Central World Council and is one of the worlds oldest and most important places. 
The importance of the city comes from the council and it's central location.
Besides the Council they also have a large center for trading. One of their largest exports is pottery, otherwise they mostly deal in services, most of which are within or in some way owned/run by the Council. Like banking/financing and commerce.

Demographics

Most of the permanent residents in Lugo are the native Central Lizards. Most Felids and Canids can't stand the hot humid climate on Central Island for long periods of time.

Infrastructure

Almost all of Lugo is old, very old. Many of the buildings and streets are original and several hundred, even thousand years old. They still rely on much of their ancient technology, which include their sewer, water and heating systems. 
They only have electricity in a few select places for the comfort of visitors, like in The Councils buildings and the Trade center. The electricity in theses places is locally generated by solar- and wind-power.
For their own homes and industries, like pottery, the mostly rely on waterwheels. They use bio-luminescent crystals for light and and natural hot-water sources for heat.

Architecture

Their homes are made of clay and stones with a pure white, smooth, plaster facade. The shapes vary from sharp edges to round corners. They accent their homes with a variety of color, especially in the artisan district. Outside the artisan district they mostly use natural warm brown, black, grey, orange and yellow colors with the occasional splash of vibrancy.
They don't have any lawns or grass surfaces. The plants that decorate their homes are for the most part potted.
