Entropy Genasi

Born of the enshrouding darkness and encroaching decay of Mabar, the Plane of Entropy, and molded into a perfected humanoid shape by the Elder Elemental itself, the Entropy Genasi are a reminder of the inevitability that everything in the universe ends. The location of the Entropy Enclave is not known to the wider public, if it even exists.  Many Entropy Genasi are loners who prefer not to gather with others of their own kind out of fear for reprisal by the superstitious who believe the Entropy Genasi are ill omens.   In fact, many of the Entropy Genasi are quite content or even happy with their elemental affinity.  They represent the end, and thus view it as almost a duty to remind others to experience and do all they can before entropy catches up to them.  Still, some of their number fall into depression and angst over their lot in life, feeling cursed to live in a world where they are feared, hated and shunned just by association with a misunderstood elemental force.   Entropy genasi usually have very dark toned skin, usually either black or a deep purple or blue hue.  Their air is whispy like smoke or shadow.

Traits

Creature Type: You are a Humanoid.   Size: You are Medium or Small. You choose the size when you select this race.   Speed: Your walking speed is 30 feet.   Darkvision: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You discern colors in that darkness only as shades of gray.   Dark Resistance: You have resistance to necrotic damage.   Touch of the Void: You know the toll the dead cantrip. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast the arms of hadar spell with this trait. Starting at 5th level, you can also cast the darkness spell with this trait, without requiring a material component. Once you cast arms of hadar or darkness with this trait, you can’t cast that spell with it again until you finish a long rest. You can also cast either of those spells using any spell slots you have of the appropriate level.   Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells when you cast them with this trait (choose when you select this race).
