Cuppria the Kind
Blessing of Growth, Protector of the Somerset Hills (a.k.a. The Warden)
Despite the mountains of evidence to the contrary, not all dragons are outwardly violent or power hungry. The ancient copper dragon, Cuppria, at least is content with the peaceful little kingdom she has carved out in her corner of the world. The gentle, rolling hills, shady forests, and babbling brooks of the Somerset Hills are the idyllic home of her Halflings and Gnomes, simple, small folk for a simple, small land. She would love nothing more than to let the ages slip by drinking fine halfling wines and marveling at whatever new invention the gnomes rush to show her like a mother with an excited child. However with the fall of the Sunwood bringing conflict to her shores, some degree of preparedness is called for. Her gnomes prepare bombs and artillery while her halflings preserve fruit and turn grain to ale for its utility in a siege rather than its flavor. The sight of it is heartbreaking to her. She is known to adopt the form of a ranger, called the Warden by her “children,'' to hunt down monsters from the mountains, but now she and her children more and more must fight as dragons, leaving the ground based fighting to the Unicorns left over from the old elven kingdom. Small folk make fair arbalests, but poor dragon riders, so her dragons generally take to the skies alone.
