Curse of Famine, Lady of the Frozen Climbs (a.k.a. The Shield Maiden)

The north remains frozen year round. A brutal, harsh land where little grows, its peoples are forced to match its hardness with their own. Instead of cultivating they take to the seas to reap what others have sown. Nixalia finds no greater joy than in the hunt, be it for food or treasures. Each piece of her hoard is a trophy won off of a fallen foe. With strength, speed, and cunning she swoops down on her victims and without mercy or remorse she lays them low. So too does she expect of her minions: the native, swift footed Lycans who capitalize on the long nights, and her own Thals, corrupted humans who are heavy of brow and strong of limb. When she decides to join her armies to raid and pillage her enemies, she does so in the form of the Shield Maiden, a beautiful woman with snow white hair. She appears in an instant, striking like a winter storm, then recedes back over the horizon just as fast. She holds great respect for the Primeval of Air, Tempest, and so has pledged her personal guard, the Valkyries, to the protection of its devotees. They ride into battle on her dragon offspring, but also on swift winged pegasus.
