Silas Whyle, the Record Keeper
It is the duty of the Record Keeper to preside over The Order of Chroniclers, collect their works and findings, and compile them into The Record, a complete history of the world. The Keeper is a revered figure in every kingdom, as even the most hostile skeptics and warmongers recognize the weight carried by the Order. Silas has been Keeper for over four decades, and in that time he has been called to every corner of the world to give council and help settle disputes. Now, in his advanced age, he spends nearly all of his time at home in The Sands of Time. He pours over The Record, claiming he seeks to guarantee everything is in its proper place for when his successor takes over. But some believe he laments the choices he made in life, or searches for some lost piece of information before he passes.
