Queen Valeria

Valeria, born into the opulence and intrigue of one of the realm's most esteemed noble families, grew up with the weight of duty and expectation. The family's lineage was old, their traditions even older, and they held fast to the belief that political power was best consolidated through strategic marriages. As the family's fortunes were intertwined with the very fabric of the kingdom, the ascension of Vendrick, with his dreams of unification, threatened their long-standing influence.   As one of many siblings, Valeria was always aware of her role as a pawn in the family's grand game of politics. From a young age, she was groomed to be married off to strengthen ties or forge new alliances. Her family attempted to entwine her destiny with Vendrick's, hoping to tether their family's fate with his rising star. However, Vendrick's ambition was far-reaching, and he saw through their veiled manipulations.   As Vendrick's campaign to unify the lands grew in strength, it became clear that the old order, represented by families like Natasha's, would be dismantled. Her family resisted, but Vendrick's forces were overwhelming. Facing certain defeat, Valeria's father, the Duke, made a desperate decision. He rallied the remnants of his family and loyalists and fled across the sea, searching for allies who could counter Vendrick's might.   In their exodus, they stumbled upon the lands of the giants, a tribal and powerful race untouched by the politics of the mainland. Using their sophisticated knowledge, diplomatic skills, and perhaps even offering one of his children in marriage to seal alliances, the Duke managed to position himself as a king-like figure among the giants. Burning with a desire for revenge against Vendrick and to reclaim their lost prestige, he began plotting an invasion.   Valeria, however, was disillusioned with her family's blind pursuit of power. She had no love for Vendrick but recognized that her father's obsession with vengeance would bring untold suffering to both the giants and their homeland. Seizing an opportunity, she escaped her father's grasp and returned to Vendrick's lands. She arrived with dire warnings of the impending giant invasion.   While many were skeptical, Vendrick took heed. Thanks to Valeria's intelligence, the kingdom could prepare, fortifying defenses and strategizing against the giants' unique warfare techniques. When the war came, it was brutal, but Vendrick's forces, armed with Valeria's insights, managed to repel the giants and secure the realm.   Valeria's actions made her a traitor in the eyes of her family but a hero to Vendrick's kingdom. She would live in this duality, torn between her love for her homeland and the scars of her family's ambitions.   But she found happiness in this new land as she and Vendrick wed and have a daughter. A family of her own.
