Basilisk
The Basilisks are Draconics that are very similar to Cockatrices , however the main difference is that Basilisks can't fly. And we should be grateful, because these creatures are almost as potent as the infamous Hydra. With their hypnotic stare and the deadly poison they leave where ever they go.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Basilisks are snake-like creatures with a King Cobra shaped face, dragon horns curving out of its head, and a large hood it spreads out when its mating, hunting, or fighting males for territory. Many have various green colored scales with clawed feet. Some have spines poking up out of their back, some don't. Others have legs and some don't.
The thing about Basilisks is that a few look very similar to the King Cobra on earth, the only difference being the colors of their scales and the horns on the top of their head.
Additional Information
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Basilisks are dangerous for two main reasons. The first is their hypnotic stare that it uses for hunting. Most of the smaller Basilisks don't feed on humans, but rather small mammals and rodents, while the large Basilisks don't mind if a human gets caught in its gaze. And unfortunately most of the Basilisks in Draconis are the large kind
The second reason is their poison path. This path is created by the Basilisks poison dripping from its fangs. Most of these creatures have to leave their mouths partly opened because their fangs are too large for their mouths.
The poison then drips out of thier fangs leaving a path of poison that can soak through clothes, the skin, and entering into any creatures body, including humans.
