Cinder Core

Even in the situation of ultimate despair, the Embermen will find a way to help and assist any personage they find in need on the peninsula. - Shelton Benjamin (16.2.3192 AtF)

Functions of the Core

Embermen have many functions on the Cinder Peninsula. A person of the Core can be stationed as a towns guard, valley scout or be on the core's very limited eagle squad. The Cinder Core sprung from a necessity of law enforcement. They are unofficially the lawmen of Oea and most of the smaller settlements in the area.
The core generally only have very limited authority, as their own rules prohibit them in stopping anything but the worst actions or offences against others. Meeting a Cinder Core group in the wilds of Primordia is generally a nice affair. They may ask where you are going, who you are and what you are doing, but they are not (outside of cities that have taken them as their law enforcement) permitted to stop any person for longer than a quick chat. They are also not allowed to force any person to answer their questions if they do not want to answer.
If a group of the Cinder Core puts a person or group of persons under arrest, that group has rights, equal to that of a "Restricted Person of the Comorad Confederacy" (RPCC) and have the right to a just trial.
The Cinder Core often transport people to the nearest town, unless the arrested have done an offence of a status that is seen as severely unjust or unlawful.

Notable Locations

The Core's members can be found all over the Cinder Peninsula. However they have a few stations and headquarters.

Cinder Station

The main base and fortification of the organisation. The Cinder Station is a mountain fort in the small ridge in the middle of the valley, it is the main training facility and the seat of the Core's commanders.

Valiant Tower

The tower of Lake Valiant is the Core's primary trading post, as it is one of the only ways for the core to get wares from outside the valley to the station.

Whisper Wall

An enormous structure, built between to mountain sides, the Whisper Wall stand as a bastion against the beasts and creatures of the Cinder Valley. The wall is primarily meant to halt the movement of larger and very dangerous monsters, like ogres, owlbears and other monstrosities. Since it is much harder to pass through the narrow passages of the Stolen Ridge, the structure protects all settlements on the Stolen Shores.
