Örblan

Örblan is the capital of North-Eila on the central Plain of Kings, located on the northwestern shore of Fekai Lake in the southeastern part of the kingdom. It's among the largest and most prosperous cities of the Mörkels, and while the city of Otra in South-Eila is the center of the Otra Alliance encompassing all the kingdoms around Fekai Lake, Örblan is in many ways the de facto capital of this trading alliance.

Demographics

Most of the inhabitants are North-Eilans or belong to other tribes that call the kingdom their home, though some hail from the other kingdoms that make up the Otra Alliance, particularly Lelenda. Recently, a small but notable community of Ameders and their descendants has formed within the city as trade with these people from beyond the plains to the north has increased, not unlike in the eastern kingdoms but on a far smaller scale.

Infrastructure

Örblan stands on roughly the same site as the old capital of Eila'togía, which was mostly destroyed during its collapse, though this is hard to see nowadays as the city has greatly expanded in the last few centuries. Virtually the only thing that hasn't changed is the location of the main temple, which was originally dedicated to Erkar, strongest of the gods, but currently houses the image of the sun god Aþar, whose status has since been elevated to being king of the gods and protector of the royal family.
