Triiklá

East-Brariian: Triiklá
Móerkelic: Oldargaron /ɔːltarkarɔːn/
Triiklá was home to an ancient race of theropod-like people who called themselves Brariians, once located in the northern Korrei Desert at the heart of the Dragonían continent, where now there's only a massive crater.
The country was centered on the dormant volcano Mt. Æjat as well as three great lakes surrounding it, namely Aabrúl to the northwest, Eiadir to the south and Óot to the northeast, with major settlements located at by the lakes or near the mountain, while grain fields and insect farms covered most of the fertile region between the two. However, the most striking feature of Triiklá's landscape and architecture were the twisted metal cables, wires and odd devices collectively known as the Kújet System, which was built and maintained by teams of engineers to provide the people with bumper crops, illuminated homes and roads and heat sources to cook food at without the need for fire, to name a few things.
The most skilled of these engineers were in charge of Triiklá, as the Brariians were entirely dependent on the kújet system for survival; there was no way the region could support such vast numbers and densely populated cities via more traditional methods. For most of its history, the city of Æliil by Aabrúl Lake functioned as the country's capital.

History

Before Triiklá, the Brariians were divided into territories centered on the three lakes that once surrounded Mt. Æjat, while the latter location was home to the insectoid Zkorbs, who lived in massive hives at the foothills. Conflicts between the two peoples occurred as the Brariians began expanding closer to the mountain to support the growing population, which ended with the Zkorbs being exiled and the invaders unifying their territories, thus forming Triiklá around 20.000 b.Dr.
This civilization developed in total isolation for millennia, and in time the Brariians built a vast network of metal cables and other devices known as the kújet system, which allowed them to boost what little magical energy was found in the region and use it to -among other things- ensure good harvest and provide optimal temperatures for their eggs and hatchlings to thrive in, all without relying on mages as most inhabitants of Dragonía do.
This isolation came to an end in 3 b.Dr, when Móerkels from the Plain of Spirits to the northwest discovered, invaded and colonized Triiklá, facing minimal resistance as the Brariians had no armies of their own. Their kújet engineers attempted to take advantage of the Móerkels' poor understanding of the kújet system by weaponizing it, but instead caused a cataclysmic event that obliterated all of Triiklá and the Brariians as a whole.
After its destruction, the next five hundred years were marked the appearance of a monstrous being simply known as The Dragon, which caused a great deal of death and destruction among the Móerkels and their descendants Mörkels and Þrihaks, as well as the Útels and -to lesser extent- Óraxes. Then, over three hundred years ago, the creature retreated back to the wasteland in central Dragonía and hasn't been seen since, but many still fear that it will strike again at some point.
Triiklá and its people are now long-forgotten, as most records made by the Móerkels during their brief occupation were destroyed along with their civilization by the Dragon, leaving only a few obscure fragments which are still copied by Mörkel ervels or scholars but poorly understood. For example, stories of the Heaven Tree in Mörkel mythology, believed to the abode of the gods and souls of the dead at the center of world, were partially inspired by a rough drawing of the kújet system.
