Túvalren

Mlúkrok: Túvalren /thuːvalrɛːn/

Túvalren was the site where the reptilian Kroks first set up camp after arriving on Vorran Peninsula, ending their long journey from Kvaror in southwestern Dragonía around 4500 b.Dr. Initially subsisting on fish in the upper Þvan River and Eretvóas brought from the east, as the people began harvesting local flora -particularly púlraal fruits and þvek berries- and hunting wild game, the camp developed into a permanent settlement, the first of its kind among the Kroks.
As the village grew and the inhabitants had to travel longer distances to feed everyone, new settlements were founded on locations that more often than not were more favourable than Túvalren itself. Over a century after its founding, the people of Túvalren decided to leave the village for good, in part to return the site to the spirits of the land, which they believed aided the Kroks at adapting to their new home, as a sign of respect.
While vegetation and the elements have long since erased any signs of village, Túvalren and stories of its inhabitants now form an important part of eastern Krokish folklore. Most Kroks avoid travelling too far up the river Þvan, out of fear of stumbling upon the site and thus angering the spirits, causing them to expel the Kroks from Vorran Peninsula forever.

Architecture

The buildings in Túvalren were quite different from later styles seen on the peninsula, with circular walls made of either clay or dry stone and flat roofs made of stretched hides or reed mats, but the general layout of the village, centered on a hatchery (rra) encircled by homes and eretvóa pens, became the basis for the plans of later capitals of each Krok territory.
