Virrem Islands
Mlúkrok: Virrem /vɪ:r:ɛm/
The Virrem Islands1 form an archipelago of 25 large and medium sized islands and hundreds of smaller islets in the Ilkigit Sea (except the northernmost one, Örr, which is located in the Klalaþan Sea), off the westernmost tip of Vorran Peninsula. The islands form the westernmost pieces of land in all of Dragonía, with the farthest ones so close to the world's edge that parts of them jut out into the mist that separates Dragonía from the elemental world of Light.
Most of the Virrem Islands are uninhabited, aside from Örr to the north, though some have been explored by Kroks from the mainland and are occasionally visited to collect Lightstones and rare medicinal plants or delicacies. The Kroks on Örr live in a monastery which serves as archives for Krokish knowledge as a whole, whether be their history, laws or religion, recorded on metal or stone tablets.

Geography
The islands, like the Vorran Peninsula, are heavily influenced by the element of Light, to the point that sunlight passes through solid matter to some extent and the light of stars and moon are sufficient to be able to work and travel outside at night with ease.
Fauna & Flora
With strong sunlight and bright nights throughout the year, the Virrem Islands support a huge variety of different species of plants, many of which are endemic to each island and can only thrive there. The wildlife is characterized by a complete lack of any birds or mammals, and instead is dominated by numerous different kinds of insects, arachnids, worms, snails, crustaceans and, to lesser extent, amphibians and reptiles. Most of the animals are nocturnal or crepuscular at the very least, and rest in burrows or caves during the day, a habit which the local Kroks have adopted as well, by seeking shelter within the monastery until nightfall.
