Background
Raven's Brother is a shadowy spirit bound to serve his brother, Raven, under a mysterious curse. Once a mortal, he was transformed into a shadow by powerful necromantic magic. His connection to Raven allows him to manifest only once every moon cycle, during which he aids Raven in his quests.
What We Know About Him
He as a powerful necromancer when alive and not as well liked or good to the people of Vogler as
Raven.
Raven was able to control him in combat, using his brother's shadowy form to assist in battles and other tasks. The shade was seemly bound to Raven, before his death, unable to act independently outside of the specific conditions that allowed his manifestation. Necromantic forces can bind him. He was killed by wolves.
After the destuction of the
Necromancers dungeon he has been killing townspeople of
Vogler and been staying in the cellar of the magic shop.
Interactions with the Party
The party first became aware of the shade when Raven revealed that the shadow he controls is actually his brother, a revelation that added an air of mystery and tension to the group’s dynamic. After the party discovered more about the cursed tower and the necromancer's history, the shade approached them with an offer to betray Raven, promising greater rewards if they would help free him from his brother’s control. This interaction created a moral dilemma for the party, forcing them to question Raven’s true nature and their loyalty to him.
He has threatened the party not to enter the cellar of the magic shop and not to remove a black robe and broken staff from the shop.
