Syndratoryvhallen Moonmist
Syndratoryvhallen Moonmist - or Syn, for short - is a Wildrunner-Lieutenant in Kiranost. Born in the upper echelons of House Protector, Syn had a sheltered childhood - at least by Kiranost standards - and was surrounded by the best tutors her parent's station could ensure. But sheltered does not mean uneventful.
Things always happened around Syn. Her twin sister, Shalin, used to say "dullness is an impossibility" when she's around. Unexpected arguments, unlikely coincidences, wardrobe malfunctions: anything was possible when Syn was around. For Syn, it meant that as much as she was the heart of the party, trouble always seemed to keep finding her. Not only personally, but professionally as well: Field reports are not widely available for the public, but word of mouth leads to be believe that in her relatively short tenure as a Wildrunner she has fought both undead and demon, found humans in the forest - and brought them to the Kiranost while disregarding safety and secrecy protocols, and even rescued Seelix Corlanis - the eldest son of Speaker Caelernith - from an undead trap through her ranger skills. Things not always end up that well though.
A few years ago, during an expedition north - on which Wildrunners were escorting members of house Metalline on a prospection assignment - Syn's party was attacked and overwhelmed by undead assailants. The whole party - that included Shalin - was either killed or captured, except for Syn. How or why she was the only survivor of the ordeal is, as of this writing, still unclear. What seems to be clear to some is that one of the main reasons she still enjoys her position in the Wildrunner is probably the same that has allowed Syn to refuse more than a couple of marriage proposals without noticeable fallout: that she is Seelis' favorite mistress.
Today, Syn is still a Wildrunner officer. Even in the wake of tragedy, she stalwartly believes that the legacy, culture and traditions of the Silvanesti are a treasure to be protected. Not only that, but she believes that once the Silvanesti can tame the forest once more, they'll be able to resume their service as beacons of civilization, and show the younger races the true path of Astarin.
