Defender of the Mortal Realm

The current leader of the Magus Collective and head of state for Deuria. Like all Grand Magus before him, he holds the Staff of Vartel and is the most powerful mage in the Mortal Realm. Like nearly all previous Grand Magus, Leon has been very public about his hatred for the dragons and makes no efforts to hide that all efforts made under his rule are to the benefit of preparing Deuria for another war; a war he feels is inevitable within his lifetime. Some critics, even within Deuria, hold that he is far too brazen with his stances and approach, fearing that he may be the catalyst for the next war. His staunch hatred for dragons extends to Dracheim and its people. He believes the entire city-state and its people to be traitors to the Mortal Realm and harboring such a large population of Dragonborn will provide the dragons with an army of servants within their borders. Under his leadership, relations with the state of Dracheim have worsened considerably when compared to previous Grand Magi. Trade restrictions and heavy tarifs placed on Dracheim by Deuria have created high tensions as food becomes more scarce for the northern people. By most, he is seen as a paragon of Deurian ideals and fiercely defensive of the entire Mortal Realm.
