Eigo

Eigo was born near Waterdeep and followed in the path of his father, and his father before him. He became a woodsmen and a honorable member of the woodsmen's guild in the land of Faerun. On one early morning day when he was just getting ready to go to work on clearing project in the Quivering Woods, a strange mist appeared and slowly overtook him and his crew.
Eigo was bewildered to find that once the mist had cleared he was in a woodland that did not appear to be the same woodland he had previously been in. As he peered about he saw that the trees were much more barren and befouled than those of the former woodlands.

After a short time finding his way in this new land he met a noble that called himself Count Strahd von Zarovich. Eigo was happy to take work for this fellow, though something about him made Eigo nervous from the very beginning. Over time, he did learn who the count was and as he began seeing the true darkness that lived within Count Strahd's soul Eigo pleasure for working with him quickly faded.

Eigo became enamered with a Barovia girl that resided in the village of Krezk. Those that lived there were not keen for outsiders but there was very little they could do about the relationship. Eigo built a cabin in the woods south of Vallaki for the two of them and it was not long before she became pregnant with their unborn son.
Sorrowfully enough Eigo's beloved, Korina, died during child birth though their new born son did survive. She never did speak of her past, parents, or anything before she met Eigo. She was a very secretive lady.
