London in Between

No-one can explain, how London in Between happened. Maybe the city is a mirage created by The Faerie Wilds , or maybe London somehow exists in both dimensions at the same time. Whatever the cause that gave birth to it, London in Between is one of the biggest settlements of the magical realm. Both similar and different to its mundane counterpart, London in Between holds many secrets to those who are not native to it - and even to those who have lived there their whole lives.

Demographics

London in Between is populated by the members of The Folk, who, for different reasons, have wanted to leave the life in the mundane world behind. The actual number of inhabitants is not known, as it keeps shifting. Those who have been born in the city are rare, but not unheard of. The Londoners in Between usually live in smaller Courts that resemble clans.

Government

Unlike the mundane London, London in Between does not have a structured government. Instead, the smaller Courts are lead by their own, respective leaders, and the agreements and deals between these Courts form the initial system behind the laws of the city. Every Solstice, the different Courts gather to an official meeting to discuss on important matters.

Infrastructure

London in Between resembles the mundane London in many ways - that is, if the London had fallen into ruins and been taken back by wild nature. The familiar buildings are there, so are the streets, and yet, everything is ruled by the plants growing at an unnatural speed. Some buildings have been chosen by the Courts as their homes, and those are the ones that are a little more inhabitable.
