Imani Maletshatsi
Originally predicted to emerge as the most prominent member among the Maletshatsi children, Imani – the eldest of five – was beaten in the political game by her youngest sibling and only brother, Emir. Despite this arguably monumental loss in her career, Imani values her family's success over her own individual success. For many years now, the three primary political positions – First Advisor, Prime Minister, and Monarch – have all been held and shared by the other three genasi families. If her brother is capable of propelling the Earth Genasi family into one of those positions in the future, then she will do everything in her power to support him.
Unlike her other three sisters, however, Imani was not content to settle into a "comfortable" role in the palace or as a match to another royal or ambassador. She has not once married nor has she born any children... and she doesn't plan on it. She is an incredibly fierce and independent person who assesses every decision from an incredibly distant and aloof standpoint. If her achievements will not be passed to her children with full guarantee, why should she waste her time and effort? Despite her incredibly driven nature, which often strikes fear into other members of the Palace, she has a love for music and is renowned as one of the best harpists. Further, although her role primarily involves her in building projects within the city, she has taken an interest in the Sea of Moving Art.
