The Guild Council of Varoona

As a city of commerce and trade, it is no surprise that Varoona Proper is ruled by a council of Guild leaders. They are tasked with handling most of the political, economical, and even religious affairs of the city as well as managing the city's relationship with other major settlements – such as Sotto Varoona in the Bay or other trading hotspots like Lark'Hal. Many of the members of the Guild Council are also heads of or individuals of significant power within the great elven noble families of Varoona. 

The current Guild Council (2136 YAR) is composed of the following individuals:

1. Lady Shaela Villanthra – Thieves' Guild – a slim elven woman with sharp hazel eyes. Her head is cleanly shaven, revealing intricate blue, black, and teal lined tattoos in an abstract representation of waves. She is almost always dressed in tight-fitting dark blue or black clothes.
2. Celtra Hylandria – Food & Drink Guild – a stern looking elven woman rarely seen in anything other than her clean, pressed chef's uniform from her restaurant Dragolée, named after the pseudodragon always climbing across her shoulders.
3. Shelara Nerinan – Art & Culture Guild – a short, plump elven woman with tight auburn curls and a face smattered with freckles. Although not a noble, she dresses in fine flowing gowns often covered in brilliant colors.
4. Lady Eirina Von'Della – Arcane Guild – A tall, regal elven woman. Her fingers drum across the table in front of her as the council members speak.
5. Lord Illinaro Ven'Halna – Mason's and Smithing Guild – An absolutely ripped elven man in his middle years. He sports a salt-and-pepper look with shoulder-length hair pulled back and five o'clock shadow. He prefers to dress in simple work clothes rather than the more ornate garbs of some other members.
6. Lord Cahir Vyrn-Valdez – Merchant's Guild – Deceased as of the 22nd of Ro'Theron, 2136 YAR. He is to be succeeded by his only surviving daughter: Lady Courtessa Vyrn'Valdez.
7. Lady Reylana Vulentia – Fishing Guild – A very tall and lanky female elf with dark, nearly black eyes. She is dressed in a simple white blouse and black pants tucked into large boots... she almost looks like she's about to go out wading for minnows.
8. Oridon Thistlefoot – The Bard's College – A halfling with long luscious blond locks. He prefers to dress in fitted tunics with silver jewelry that shimmers and shines. He is almost always smiling, eyes half closed.
9. Lady Venali Vylnoir – Luxuries Guild – A curvy elf with a pixie cut of dark black hair. She is never seen without a full face of elegant make-up and loads of jewelry: diamonds, sapphires, emeralds, pearls, and more. She is the picture of wealth and decadence.
10. Bert – Snail Guild – Bert is a grouchy old (?) elven man that seems to really only care about himself and snails. He is perhaps the least clothed of the Council, donning only a cloak (if the Council is lucky) and a loin cloth.
11. High Priestess Thalassa Varoona– Temple Representative – a middle-aged elven woman with a very regal bearing. She is always dressed in her blue priestess robes and a headdress of pearls and gems. Although
12. Muzu – Sotto Varoona Representative – A short, shriveled Kereselló with an inflated sense of pride. He always dresses in a loose fitting blue robe and traditional silver jewelry indicative of his people.

As the Valdove family has held the High Council position for Varoona for over a century now, the other noble families have - in bitterness and perhaps wounded pride – removed his formal seat on the Guild Council. Although granted an informal position, he has no actual political say outside the city of Eredet.
