The Lady of Winter

The Wrath of Winter

Within a hidden, crumbling, ancient icy palace... the heart of the blizzard of the Anwar-Dai resides. Known as the Wrath of Winter to those who fear her and the Lady of Winter to those who respect her, she is a being of deep, icy, penetrating and unavoidable cold. She is a being who commands the swirling snow and the howling winds, isolated and cut off from all sources of warmth. Despite the whispers and grandeur that surround her name, the Lady of Winter is... an aarakocra woman with a scattered mind, seemingly held victim by her antagonistic traits. She tries to act like a doting, caring mother with warmth to give, but is shackled by the coldness that pervades her touch and her home.
Her palace may be covered in ice, but that does not stop her from trying to light fires throughout, from trying to cook a warm meal, or from piling furs and blankets onto a frozen bed to try and provide some semblance of warmth. Yet, without fail, all of her efforts are snuffed out as the cold settles in like a heavy weight. Alone, the Lady of Winter sings a lullaby. She sings of the sun's warmth, of the wind as she flew, and of a family she had... almost as if recalling it from some distant, hollow memory.
One should be wary; Do not be deceived by the Lady of Winter's frazzled nature. For only one of strength and ability could command the respect an loyalty from Szorm'Szor – the massive creatures of the Anwar-Dai. Should you threaten the Lady of Winter or provoke her in anyway... you will only be left with her wrath. All attempts at creating warmth will be forgotten for only the harsh, unrelenting wrath of winter will remain... persistent and oppressive, only ceasing when those foolish enough to overstep are frozen and buried far, far beneath the snow.

The Domain of Winter

Hidden beneath the ever-present clouds and buried within the snow-covered mountains is the entrance to an ancient, crumbling mountainside palace. Arched hallways traverse through and wind around the steep cliffs of one of the mountains of the Anwar-Dai. The floors and archways nearly always covered in a thin sheen of ice and dusted by snow. There is no trace of warmth within the cold and icy walls. Yet, there is a softness lurking beneath all of the cold. Rooms are carefully arranged to mimic a home, with empty picture frames hanging... waiting to hold a memory. Here, the Lady of Winter and her adopted ward, Telvon, reside.
