Zephus
A teenage air genasi lad who bears odd, gold, draconic-like scales along most of his body, including his arms. He's claimed connections to the Royal Air Genasi family of Lark'Hal, but doesn't seem to have the best relationship with any of his family for that matter. A prodigée painted, he was originally sent – possibly as punishment – from Lark'Hal to Oshiv'Ran to provide paintings of the Great Hunt, including a portrait of the winner. Although he originally loathed painting people AND seemed to harbor a hatred for Lark, the God of Creativity and Artists, he seems to have gotten over his dislike of people and painted High Priestess Thalassa into her proper place on the ceiling of Varoona's Temple. Still a proud supporter of shrooms... he seems to have stopped partaking as much nowadays.
Session 5:
- Zephus appears to have successfully contacted his mother regarding Rani's position as his bodyguard
- He offered Rani 250 gold upfront with the promise of 750 gold more for her safe deposit in Varoona (specifically to the High Priestess there)
- Zephus is along for the ride as Rani is now completing the task of escorting the young "royal" to Varoona.
- Zephus allowed some of the locusts to paint and he seemed content to watch them until Rani's sudden appearance made him oddly uncomfortable.
- After leaving Oshiv'Ran, Zephus seemed surprisingly sober.
- When Rani mentioned her younger sister, Zephus revealed the golden scales on his arms - he seemed to want to remove them, but didn't say why.
- Zephus seemed oddly happy to be in the Temple of Varoona, running off with some of the priestesses.
