Iren overthrew the god Karsauris in a duel of single combat which ended in a stalemate. Karsauris fled and the Karsaurite Empires was disbanded, giving way to the second age.

The Karsaurite Empire finally fell when the goddess Iren climbed to the top of Karsaurises stronghold, her army holding the line below her. She found The Dragon King lounging on a throne of gold in the old council chambers of the gods. His army broken and followers abandoning him, Iren demanded the surrender of her brother. However Karsauris demanded a one on one duel to the death with Iren, stating that he would never surrender and that this was her best chance to end this. And so Iren accepted the request. The full details of the battle are not known but it would leave the palace of the gods cursed and uninhabitable. It is known however that the fight ended in a stalemate, neither dragon killing the other. Karsauris fled into hiding and Iren would help create a new regime to keep an atrocity like this from ever happening again.
