The chromatic dragons were growing out of control so Iren asked Karsauris to deal with it. After he refused or failed Iren hurled him into the cosmos. She tried to find him after but failed and when she returned the chromatic dragons began to leave the planet in search of Karasauris.
Karsauris and the chromatic dragons returned to the world in a wave of destruction, leaving the world in apocalypse and the gods in hiding. All making way for the rule of Karsauris and his new empire.
Iren overthrew the god Karsauris in a duel of single combat which ended in a stalemate. Karsauris fled and the Karsaurite Empires was disbanded, giving way to the second age.
The hunt on the gods that Aris led came to an abrupt halt when the people of Ātheros used an unknown magic to bind Aris and capture him, which resulted in him releasing the body of the fire titan onto Ātheros, turning it into an apocalyptic wasteland.
