History
The Jade Dwarves were originally known as Gold Dwarves, the elves of the Emerald Valley their only contacts on the surface, and so their only trade partners. For a long time, the dwarves were content to trade with the elves for anything they needed from the surface, but overtime, the elves got greedy, thinking the dwarves weak, not knowing the true extent of their underground stronghold. The elves, realizing the vast quantities of gold located under the dwarven stronghold, launched an attack on the Dwarves, thinking they could strike quickly, take out the dwarven leaders, and seize control. Their strike failed, and the dwarves, enraged by this betrayal, launched a counter-attack. The elves, weakened by this unexpected defeat, were overrun, and the Dwarves took control of the elven capital.
