Elemental

Elementals are beings of pure elemental energy, originating from the elemental planes of existence. As such, each elemental plane has its own type of elemental, dependent on their element. There are many different types of elementals, including greater or lesser elementals, as well as things such as mephits. In addition to elementals from the six elemental planes, there are also elementals imbued with energy from transitional elemental planes, such as dust, ice, mud, magma, smoke, or steam mephits. Elementals are the genetic basis for most life within the elemental planes.
